In the first quote, I believe the quote was "They're in [the] long grass". (ie - predators hiding in the long grass on the savannah, which emphasizes his point about focusing on the "how" over the result...)

Ray has used "waiting in the long grass" on a few occasions to wonderful effect but not here. He says "The`re in long.." meaning the attack is launced from very deep and he states that.Actually,Hudson recognises the Real Madrid danger as soon as they get possesion,in their own penalty box! Pity the "live" clip cant be included here because it shows the guy at his perceptive best!Bloody marvellous!
No problem. That's what I believed I heard watching it, but with Ray, who TF knows? And it was why I felt weird about "hearing" the "the" I implied in my post...I think that might have been where his mind was going, but I have no problem with yesterday's "anonymous" post either, as that sounds more than reasonable - you could see it develop that way...
It's so great when they let Ray do the Barca game and the Real Madrid game in the same weekend. I'd love to hear some audio of Ray drooling over IKER one of these games. It's funny to hear Phil try to bait him with some Valdes shutout stat. Then there's just silence. Or Phil will start the "who's the most valuable player on los blancos?" conversation. Cannavaro? Robinho? just to get Ray going off on his beloved Iker.
